Abstract
The most common foodgrains used by human beings include cereals and pulses. Non-vegetarian human beings derive their source of protein from animal origin foods, whereas chief source of protein In vegetarian diet is different types of pulses in their food. The preponderent number of vegetarians in the worid, nearly 67 per cent lean heavily on pulses for derivation of basic protein.
